Sustainability at Aramex New Zealand
Aramex New Zealand is building a sustainability approach that reflects how we actually operate a franchisee-driven courier network with a clear opportunity to reduce cost and environmental impacts at the same time.
Our Fleet
Our New Zealand network runs on franchisee-owned vehicles, which gives us a real lever for lowering emissions as electric vans become commercially viable for last-mile delivery. We're currently researching EV and financing options to make the switch stack up economically for the people who own and run these vehicles.
Our sites
Our Auckland facility holds ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) certification. Across our distribution centres, we're progressively replacing LPG and diesel forklifts with electric alternatives, and reviewing energy use at our largest sites to cut both cost and consumption.
Waste
We're reviewing how waste is managed across our network improving how we separate and track recyclable materials, and working with our waste partners to reduce what goes to landfill.

What's next
We're currently building a full emissions and waste baselines and sustainability strategy so that the commitments we make are backed by real data and a credible plan to deliver them. We'll update this page as that work progresses.
